The Missing Key to True Rhythm?


Note values and counting are necessary, but the part that always gets skipped is the context of the steady beat!

You can get hand cramps writing in all the numbers and subdivisions you want, but if you don't understand how those relate to the beat they aren't going to do much for your rhythm...

It's this lack of connection to the beat that leaves you feeling:

  • lost because the music is going by way too fast
  • too uncoordinated to keep track of everything
  • like you never want to hear the obnoxious click of a metronome again!

And, I don't blame any of your past teachers. It's hard to teach this stuff!

But with rhythm being the most objective and ubiquitous part of music, it is imperative that you learn it!
